Check out the class story, The Common Sense Chronicles- Volume II, The Class Story. It was an awesome experience for me to write. I had a chance to create interesting stories where the characters had to learn or use their common sense to solve problems.
The characters in the story are very loosely based on the students. Obviously none of my students are doctors, mayors, foremen, mages, or hold any other ridiculous job yet. Some may aspire to be doctors, mayors, foremen or even mages and that is wonderful. Because none of the students hold those positions yet, I hope they will enjoy the shenanigans their fictional selves have found themselves in. Students made a bargain with me and it didn't work out in their favor. So...I need at least half the class to complete the Design a Town Map assignment. Please see the details below. As long as at least half the class completes the assignment we will have TBD tomorrow.
Good luck and have fun! Over the past month, the students have worked to complete a story. Each student picked one common sense lesson they learned this school year. They wrote an original story on the common sense idea.
Students who wanted to contribute to the Common Sense Chronicles in other ways than writing created illustrations for the class story. The illustrations created will be seen in the upcoming Common Sense Chronicles- Volume Two, The Class Story. Check out Volume One. Guest Post from Bowman PTAFamily Fun Night – Family Feud

New England Brass Ensmble Kid Blog by Nicole & MichWe liked the New England Brass Ensemble it was funny, the musicians seemed very enthusiastic about playing their instrument, and it wasn't hard to understand. An example of when we thought it was funny was when the Walter the trombone player kept repeating, "JAY! JAY! JAY!" We laughed really hard and Nicole almost choked because Walter sounded like a little kid and we've never seen an adult act like that! Another example of when it was funny was... Awesome Concert by Deniz and HaykOne reason why I thought the concert was fun was because it was REALLY funny! Especially the trombone guy. One example was when they were all making up ways how to play the brass instruments. Almost everyone kept laughing. I personally thought it was really funny how they were using the other instrument families to make up ways to play the brass instruments. Another reason why I thought the concert was fun and exciting was... To see the rest of the blog post, please login to Kid Blog and check out it out. Please leave your thoughts and comments. Funny Brass by Steven & RafiI think the concert was very well organized because it was funny, informative, well performed, and creative. It was really funny, for several reason. Every time Jay tried to talk, someone interrupted him. Like when Jay was trying to explain how brass instruments worked, Walt was like " Jay! Jay! Jay! Jay!" Another time the concert was funny was when Walt kept bragging about himself. Another funny part was... To see the rest of the blog post, please login to Kid Blog and check out it out. Challenge 4As students have spent this past week of the Library Appreciation Week doing odd challenges such as selfies with the librarian, searching for banned books, and getting a library card, we have taken the next leap. Students have had a chance to find comfy spots to read in the library. Check it out... Challenge 2 of National Library WeekAs the students have been totally engaged in their appreciation for National Library Week, many students are showing off their library cards. Now they can check out books, take advantage of library passes and other resources available to them. Can you see the excitement? |
