December 23rd was Olivia's last day. in just a few short months, she left a lasting mark on every one. From the way she entered each day with a smile to always being positive when working in a group, her presence in the class will truly be missed.
Over the past few weeks, everyone had a chance to help create decorations for a surprise going away party for Olivia. decorate At the end of the day most students could barely hold in their excitement to share their joy with Olivia. Walking into the classroom from the afternoon recess all of the students "walked" into the classroom and waited (hid behind desks or bookcases) for Olivia to walk back into the room. It is safe to say that Olivia had suspected something was up all day. However, she enjoyed her surprise going away celebration. Take a look at the video the students created for their classmate..

Hi, everyone! I miss you all. How's everything? Is it cold in Lexington? This year, we have snow in the mountains but usually we don't have snow at all. I hope I can go back to room 30 someday. ---Olivia
