Guest Post by Mrs. CarsonThe Bowman Book Swap is back, and this time we’re pairing the event with an ice cream social! Do your children have books that they've outgrown and are ready to pass on? Are you constantly in search of new books for your children to read? If so, participate in the Bowman Book Swap! Here's how it works: • Bring books to class THIS WEEK (April 25th–29th) and receive vouchers to be used at the Book Swap. • Receive 1 voucher for each book donated, up to a maximum of 10 vouchers. (Each student can donate a maximum of 20 books, but only 10 vouchers will be issued. Extra books will provide choice, be donated to classrooms, or saved for future books swaps.) Vouchers will be sent home in envelopes on Monday, May 2nd. • Bring your vouchers to the Book Swap on May 5th and redeem them for “new” books to take home. • Meet up with friends and eat a cup of Rancatore’s ice cream before or after you swap! ($1 per cup) Books must be appropriate for grades K–8 (no baby or board books) and be in gently used condition (no tears or missing pages). We are especially in need of middle school books for our graduating 5th graders. Books will not be accepted after the collection week, and vouchers will not be issued during the event. Want to help out? We still need volunteers to help sort books next week and to help with set up and clean up during the event. Volunteers will be given priority access to the Book Swap and receive a free ice cream! To volunteer, visit the Sign Up Genius link: http://bit.ly/BookSwap_IceCreamSocial Questions?
