Curriculum Night came and went quickly. I had a chance to shake hands with almost every parent that walked into the room, unfortunately, I missed some people on the way out for a number of reasons. For those who missed all of the festivities or just the fireworks at the end of the presentation, see the Power Point Slideshow below. If you did not get a chance to write a response on the blank white card, you've got some work to do. Parents were asked to reflect on using a growth mindset with their child. If you are unsure what a growth mindset is, please watch the 3-minute video below. Please answer the question above. You can email me your response to me, write it on a piece of paper and send it into school with your child, or leave a response on the Contact Page. Students will read the responses their parents wrote on the last day of school. This is a way for you to make a commitment to support your child's growth midset this year. I'd like every student to have a parent pledge (response on the white card) in their envelopes to be opened on the last day of school. For those parents who stayed until the end, the video below applies to you too! Finally, I'd like to leave you with a take away. If you remember nothing from my lengthy presentation or post, please remember this. I need parents and students to buy into the idea that mistakes are the world's way of telling you are on the path to success. Because the process is more important that arriving at the correct answer. Let's continue on our path towards a great year!
