Math is all around us. In fact, we use it every day without even realizing it. Sometimes we have to decide how far we've traveled by estimating or rounding. While other times we have to figure out how much further we have to travel. Are you thinking the distances traveled and future travels are fractions that add up to a whole? If yes, then you are on the same page with all Brufftopians. On a whole the class really enjoyed exploring the relationships between a whole square and its fractional parts (get it, wholes are related to fractions). So fraction is a part of out daily lives. So must learn it because it is one of the basic in computing numbers.
