Thursday, November 13th was the inaugural celebration of Story Book Character Day. Many students throughout the Bowman Community dressed as characters from their favorite books. After the parade, students entered the gymnasium for a school read aloud of Small Pig by Arnold Lobel. The fourth graders were able to see the many characters the other Bowman students dressed up as. While some characters required a scarf, a recognizable hat, or a curly wig, there were plenty that of characters who simply needed to wear a specific color combination. Most people, teachers included, dressed up as characters from picture books. But there were a good number of students who dressed as a character from chapter books. Some highlights from the day.
