Check out the video below of the Partial Quotients Method or Big Seven. This method allows anyone to divide numbers no matter how big or small. You also do not need to have command over all of your multiplication facts. You can use what you already know to solve the problem. Once you've mastered your facts, you'll be able to use extended facts to tackle more challenging problems and work more efficiently.

Dear Parents,
I hope you all had a restful Winter Vacation with your children. So far this year the students have been bursting at the seams with excitement and enthusiasm. To harness some of their energy, I gave a long-term assignment for homework on Monday. Students will need to write a summary for a book or create a book trailer for a book that they have already completed reading. It will be due on Friday, January 8th. This assignment has been given in the past and many students have wished to do it again, hence all the excitement. I’ve checked in with every student to make sure they have a plan of action. They’ve all shared with me what they will be handing in on Friday. Please speak with your child, ask them about what choice they’ve decided to make and encourage them to use all of their creative muscles. Once again, the assignment is due on Friday, January 8th. Sincerely, Chris Bruff Many students missed steps in the afternoon routine. Please be sure you check in with your child regarding what they are expected to do at the end of each day. Below is a link for the Math homework which was left in student mailboxes this afternoon.
Math Homework Jan. 4th Many people are under the misconception that math is about numbers and equations. In fact, math is about making connections and realizing the relationships number and symbols have with each other. With that in mind, it should be easy to figure out that math surrounds us on a daily basis. Take a look at the pattern below. Can you make any connections? Check out how the students in Brufftopia worked on the pattern and found the relationship between each row.
